Spectator Hobbies (Passive Hobbies to Enjoy Just by Watching)

Spectator hobbies are passive style hobbies that you can enjoy simply by watching.

This list of spectator hobbies take little skill, previous knowledge or commitment but are still tons of fun!

Attend Live Concerts

Whether it’s a local singer-songwriter show or your favorite rock band playing an arena, going to live music is a great spectator hobby.

Concerts are a great way to get out of the house, feel a powerful sense of community and enjoy a creative experience as a passive observer.

Attending live concerts has the power to inspire us, create lasting memories and is a great way to spend an evening.

Check the local theatres in your area to see what shows are coming up and support the actors putting on their production.

Supporting community theatre is a great spectator hobby and a great way to break up your evening routine with something different and fun while supporting budding and aspiring performers.

Trade Shows / Conferences

Trade shows are a great way to bring together members of a particular industry, interest group or hobby to discuss and share the latest products, resources, services and ideas about their particular areas of expertise.

Trade shows are a great way to learn more about your hobby (or occupation) and are easy enough to simply walk around and absorb knowledge.

Trade shows typically allow you the freedom to be as passive or active as you would like while exploring the latest in your niche.

Sports

Attending a live sport event is the perfect spectator hobby and is great for feeling a sense of community, enjoying some friendly competition and spending time with loved ones.

Shake up your routine by going to watch your cities favorite sport team.

On a budget? Go to local high school or college games and root for your home team!
